-
Quality Control
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised quality management standard that ensures our fabrication processes are controlled, consistent, and continually improving. In practical terms, it means every stage of production — from CAD design and material sourcing through to cutting, welding, machining, and final inspection — is managed under a structured system designed to reduce variation and improve reliability.
In fabrication, where precision, tolerances, and repeatability matter, ISO 9001 helps ensure every component is produced to the same high standard, regardless of batch size or complexity.
-
Structural Steel
EN 1090-2 is a European standard that sets the technical requirements for the execution of steel structures, covering how structural steelwork is fabricated and assembled to ensure safety, strength, and compliance for construction use. In practice, it governs how we control welding, cutting, machining, assembly, and inspection processes so that every steel component is produced to a verified standard suitable for load-bearing and structural applications, with full traceability and conformity for CE marking.
-
Railway Certification
EN 15085 CL2 is an international certification standard for the welding of railway vehicles and components, ensuring that fabrication and welding processes meet strict quality and safety requirements for rail applications. The CL2 (Certification Level 2) designation confirms competence for manufacturing welded assemblies of medium complexity, where controlled welding procedures, qualified personnel, material traceability, and inspection processes are essential to ensure structural integrity and long-term safety performance in rail environments.
-
Supplier Assurance
RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) is the UK rail industry’s supplier assurance scheme, used to verify that companies working on or supplying into the rail network meet the required standards for safety, competence, and compliance. It provides a recognised pre-qualification process that audits a business’s systems, capabilities, and track record so that rail operators and contractors can confidently select approved suppliers.
-
Health and Safety
Acclaim Accreditation is a UK-based health and safety assessment scheme (part of SSIP – Safety Schemes in Procurement) that verifies a company’s health and safety management systems meet recognised legal and industry standards.
-
Supplier Assurance
Constructionline Gold is a higher-level accreditation within the Constructionline scheme, designed for suppliers who want to demonstrate stronger compliance and capability beyond the standard membership level.

Memorial Clock Statue
We were commissioned to manufacture this bespoke memorial clock, created using a decommissioned railway wheel as the centrepiece. The project combined precision steel fabrication with thoughtful craftsmanship to produce a unique tribute featuring a fabricated poppy and integrated clock.
From fabrication and welding through to finishing and assembly, every detail was carefully completed to create a durable memorial that honours both railway heritage and remembrance.
sleaford community centre
Grantham Fabrications manufactured the structural steelwork for the Sleaford Community Centre extension, delivering all primary steel beams in accordance with EN 1090-2 standards.
Working to the required execution class, every component was fabricated with precision, ensuring full compliance, quality and traceability throughout the project. The completed steelwork provided the structural framework for the new extension, demonstrating our capability to deliver certified structural steelwork for commercial and public sector projects.
drill EXTENSION dock
Grantham Fabrications manufactured a series of bespoke drill extension docks for Balfour Beatty, designed to provide a robust and reliable storage solution for specialist drilling equipment.
Fabricated to meet the demands of challenging site environments, each dock was built for strength, durability and ease of handling, ensuring safe storage and efficient transportation of drill extensions throughout the project.
